Lucy Allan writes to Transport Secretary about direct rail link delay

Lucy Allan has written to Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin about the delay in establishing a Direct Rail link from Telford to London.

The proposed link has been put back by operator Virgin until December, but the route was due to open in May.

In the letter Lucy tells the Transport Secretary that a direct rail link is essential for jobs, business and growth in the area.

She urges Mr McLoughlin to speak to National Rail and Virgin Trains to work out the issues that have led to the delay and get the link back on track as soon as possible.
