Telford Conservative Association are pleased to anounce that there will be a pig racing event at Horsehay Village Hall on Friday 11th April.
What is Pig Racing?
The pig racing involves 6 battery operated pigs on a race track. At the start of each race, 6 pigs are picked at random. These are numbered and then raced against each other. The races last between 1-2 minutes each. People on the night can bet on each pig, and if you win your bet, you win some money! There are 8 races per evening with an optional 9th Auction Race
How does the betting work?
Each bet costs £1. You bet on a pig, if that pig comes first, then you win the bet, and the prize money is split between those who bet on the winning pig. The betting is arranged by our very own ‘Piggy Banker’ who will sort and arrange very competitive odds on each winning pig, together with an obligation to raise sufficient funds for our cause.
How does the sponsorship work?
Prior to the evening you will have the option to buy and name a pig, using the attached form. Each ‘owner’ on the night will be in with a chance of winning a prize should their pig win a race. Individual races are also available for sponsorship using the attached form.
A list of pigs will be sent out in the post at the point of booking
