Stirchley Councillor Tom Wust has been elected by fellow Parish Councillors to serve as the new Vice Chairman of Stirchley & Brookside Parish Council.
The vote happened at last night's (12 May 2026) Parish AGM, where Tom was elected unopposed following the withdrawal of another nomination. Tom was able to secure cross-party and independent support to achieve the role, and thanked his colleagues for putting their trust in him having only served on the Parish Council since last August. Tom was elected to Stirchley & Brookside Parish last summer with a majority of 79, following his narrow defeat when contesting The Nedge ward on Telford & Wrekin Council in November 2024.
Upon taking the role of Vice Chairman of the Council, Tom said:

Having just been elected to the Council last August, I’m pleased to have earned the trust of colleagues to fulfil this role in the short time I have been here.
